Natasha Demtchenko has been residing in Ecuador since 1975. She collaborated closely with the Guayaquil painter Araceli Gilbert.

Russian painter who has been residing in Ecuador since 1975. She began her studies at the School of Fine Arts in Saransk and continued them at the Moscow Institute of Architecture. This solid training supports her artistic career, which she complemented with the Guayaquil painter Araceli Gilbert. Since 1986, she has presented her works in thirteen solo exhibitions in Guayaquil, Quito, Cuenca, and Bugalagrade (Colombia).
Among the most important collective exhibitions are: “IMÁGENES Y TEXTURAS,” Banco Central Museum – The British Council, Guayaquil, 1995; “PEQUEÑO FORMATO,” La Galería, Quito, 1999; “EXPOSICIÓN FEMENINA,” Casa Unesco, Quito, 2000; “MALECÓN 2000,” Galería David Pérez, Guayaquil, 2001; “CLAVES DEL ARTE,” MAAC, Guayaquil, 2006, and the Christie’s International Auction “ARTE UTOPIA,” Quito, 2006.
In 1999, she won the unique prize of the “Mujer Testimonio” salon of the Casa de la Cultura, Guayaquil. Her first mural was created in 1995 for the Banker’s Club in Guayaquil, and her last mural, “TIERRA DE LUZ,” was on the perimeter bridge Vía a la Costa, Guayaquil, in 2002.
