Ray Medina
Ray Medina has been developing a personal poetic, where his great interest in empty spaces, play spaces, atavistic landscapes, and the idea of alter ego is evident. These characters, the product of his imagination, are recurring themes in his work, inspired by long nights of watching TV.

Ray Adriano Medina Reyes was born on January 9, 1993, in Guayaquil, Guayas, Ecuador. Before and after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from ITAE – University of the Arts in Guayaquil, Ecuador, he participated in 19 group exhibitions and 3 solo exhibitions in 5 cities across the country. One of his works was selected for the Salón de Julio in Guayaquil in 2016, and another for the Salón de Noviembre at Casa de la Cultura de Loja in 2017.
He has exhibited in galleries such as DPM, Nómada Arte, Piso 4, Taller Maldonado, El Observatorio, Proyecto Nasal (solo exhibition), and Guayaquil Country Club. His works have been featured in the Nahím Isaías Museum, Cacao Museum, and his latest solo exhibition “Ice, Frio, Hielo from the Punchline Series” was presented at the MAAC – Museum of Anthropology and Contemporary Art in Guayaquil in 2023.
