Irving Ramó’s current creative approach aligns with realism, as he delineates his own invisible universe where the energy driving his eagerness to paint and create resides. In this process, he combines figurative painting with contemporary elements, recontextualizing elements from the history of design, and demonstrates a constant attraction and curiosity towards mystical encounters.
Ramó pays particular attention to sketching out the immaterial. He creates spaces inspired by semiotics and the latent legacy of ancestral civilizations, a profound exploration that has led him to research their visual spectrum, drawing from their geometrical principles, chromatics, and symbology. His work identifies with an important moment in Latin American art and music, leading to a gentle encounter between identity and interest in native aesthetics.
For the artist, painting is a path to caress limits. Ramó deepens his immersion in the lines of the past to propose the permanence of memory throughout multiple temporalities. There is an inescapable game of time that conditions the state of his characters.
