Miguel Ángel Mera Espinoza was born in 1989 and is a plastic artist, painter, and sculptor from Guayaquil. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts with a degree in sculpture.

His work is generally characterized by capturing scenes of everyday life, deconstructing the figurative and focusing on flat and gestural strokes, using warm tones.

With vibrant colors, Mera creates serene yet mysterious atmospheres, inviting the observer to speculate about the actions of the subjects depicted in the work.
