Art Route from Madrid to Milan

A curated exhibition of works by Ecuadorian artists, including Maureen Gubia, Elio Wong, Esteban Jácome, Jimmy Lara, Chay Velasco, Erick Franco, and Poli Lunar, who in 2023 embarked on an exciting journey into the heart of the European art world. This journey was made possible with the support of Fundación ProArte and marked a milestone in the careers of these talented creators, offering them the opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of the European art scene.

The journey began in Madrid, Spain, where the artists Elio Wong, Jimmy Lara, Poli Lunar, Pamela Suasti, Chay Velasco, and Erick Franco participated in the “Hybrid” art fair, experiencing firsthand the vibrant and dynamic pulse of the local community. From Madrid, the journey continued to Milan, Italy, where Maureen Gubia and Esteban Jácome participated in the “Un-fair” art fair, connecting with an international audience eager for new perspectives.

The effort of bringing the works from Ecuador to Europe and then from Madrid to Milan was a testament to our commitment to achieving global goals. This journey revealed to us the value that the European community places on art, providing us with enriching experiences and international connections that fostered our artistic growth.

Art Route from Madrid to Milan represents a reappraisal of the works of these talented Ecuadorian artists. This journey not only propelled their careers internationally but also serves as an eloquent reminder of the importance of supporting and nurturing local artistic talent.
